We met Jake, Alex and Nelson this past summer in Salt Lake City during the Outdoor Retailer Expo.  They were all fired up about their plan to stand up paddle 150 miles along the length of Lake Powellpowell, sup, expedition, tahoe, tahoe sup, paddle in Southern Utah.  They had their Tahoe SUP Zephyrs, tents, gear, fishing poles and that contagious adventurous spirit that our stand up paddle boards seem to instill in folks.

It took how long?

Well, they did it.  And in talking with them and seeing some of the one-thousand or so pictures they took along the eight day paddle, it more than likely will change the course of their lives.

“The shear grandeur of the region was especially impressive viewing it from our stand up padddle boards. Each and every day you had the realization that we were in it for the long hall with no exit strategy until the end of the journey. Massive sandstone walls on both sides of us that reached to the desert sky above us was truely the most unique, inspiring and daunting element.”     -Jake
