Boca Reservoir is an artificial lake in Nevada County, California, United States, located in the perimeter covered by Tahoe National Forest. It was created by the construction of Boca Dam across Little Truckee River, approximately 10 km northeast of Truckee. Visitors to Boca Reservoir can enjoy boating, paddling, swimming, and fishing opportunities. This facility is operated and maintained by the Tahoe National Forest.

Things to know: Boca Reservoir has no available water supply, you will need to bring your own water. Boca Reservoir has a boat ramp that is less than a mile from the main campground on the peninsula. Boca reservoir has some of the best trout fishing in the Tahoe national forest, 18,000 catchable 10 to 12 inch rainbows are planted per year at Boca Reservoir. The Boca Campground typically opens in late May and closes for the winter in October.
